Obituary:
STEPHENVILLE - A.J. "Short" Herrin, a retired Santa Fe Railway employee, died Sunday at a Temple hospital. He was 78.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis, N.M.
Mr. Herrin was born in Hico and lived in Clovis from 1941 to 1991 before moving to Stephenville. He was a Baptist.
Survivors: Wife, Myrtle Iona Herrin of Stephenville; sister, Allie McCoy of Stephenville; and three brothers, Berry A. Herrin of Iredell, R.L. Herrin of Lubbock and Henry Herrin of Whitewright.

STEPHENVILLE - Myrtle Iona Herrin, 77, a saleswoman, died Friday at home.
Funeral: 2 p.m. today at Stephenville Funeral Home in Stephenville. Burial: 2 p.m. Tuesday in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis, N.M.
Mrs. Herrin was born in Avalon and was a Baptist.
Her husband, A.J. "Short" Herrin, died in 1993.
Survivors: None in the immediate family.
